Carter really loves this puppy from school AKA the wolf
My 7th grade GT kids At Model UN in Steamboat. Maybe one of my favorite things about my nine years of teaching. We did really well. The head of our GT department kept telling me it wasn't about winning, but come on, why do anything if you don't want to win:) He didn't quite like agree with my competitive spirit and I tried really hard to be all about the experience with my kids We did not win the two overall awards (note that I was the judge who ended awarding the winning team, so I did judge fairly:) We were one of only five teams that's resolution passed and we were the only team that had a unanimous vote to pass. Why didn't we win one of the overall awards, I don't know I'm still tracking down our judge...jk but we will win next year/I mean it was a great experience:)Ok stupid posting fb posts, but I am so excited to go back to Tulsa. That is our wedding cake sold by the slice at Ludger's new bakery at 91st and Yale!!!! Everyone go eat there to make sure it stays in business!
Carter and Marble Slab with my mom. He is a big ice cream fan. He asks for it daily.
Blowing the fluffy things off of dandelions like Great grandpa Hinson taught him. We stopped on our bike like every ten feet to pick dandelions for mommy like Granny taught him. Very cute!Just out for a ride. He can go really far now and I have to jog to keep up with him, but then he stops for dandelions:)
Best background ever
All he wants to do is swing
This kid also loves Fried Okra. Weid thing is he picks all of the fry off and just eats the okra? He did not learn that from me!We went up to the Beav for Blues, Brews, and BBQ. It is their memorial day celebration. The highlight for Carter was riding the bus...
and eating red vines, not the expensive BBQ. We were disappointed this year. They usually have a couple of places from OK and TX, but all CO BBQ this year. That is not real BBQ if you grew up in the south.
These are old pics from when we set up the big boy bed.
Still climbing all over the thing
Big boy potty! Just occasionally now, but potty training boot camp is about to start!
Mother's day
Really concentrating...
Ice Cream on the deck!
Saying Cheese
Looking a little crazy while saying cheese
Flying a kite
and in the tree...I spent longer picking out the kite than he did flying it
Today was the last day for regular teachers. Carter was enthralled by a local and parent musician.
A lot of our current staff. We are losing 10 people next year, so it was a very sad day for GCMS. A lot of great teachers and friends gone. New friends to be made in the future!
