I feel like I should have something to say, but I just really don't:)  Niles worked hard on the deck this weekend.  We are almost done.  Need a few more tools and spindles and it will be there.  Carter is well Carter.  I have been working on my NanoWriMo.  You should google it if you don't know what I'm talking about:)  All in all pretty boring stuff around here.  I do have some pictures of course!

Check this out!  This is one of my bestest friends Netty.  She started at GCMS the same year I did and took a sabbatical this last year to do this....

 She is traveling all over and making me super jealous!  Her kids miss her dearly, but she'll be back.  (Not really, I tell her she won't come back and she says she will.  I'm right:)

 We have been playing a lot of Candy land (and Hungry Hungry Hippos and memory)

 Time for basketball!  Dad plays the regular season opener tomorrow night at Mizzou.  Yeah I don't know what he was thinking, but in the words of Oral Roberts..."Expect a Miracle!"

That's all folks!  I have 9 more days until Thanksgiving break.  It is shocking I don't have it counted down to the hours and minutes!  When your school doesn't have a fall break, it is a long haul until Thanksgiving.  My 8th graders are pushing all the rules, buttons, and whatever else can be pushed.  Happy Monday and 9 days till break!

Funny Stuff

Carter is really funny in how he pronounces certain things.  When he says balloon he says it like Christopher Robin on Winnie the Pooh.  To get him to smile we were saying, "Don't you smile Carter, Don't you dare" and now he says it all the time...

This is Niles and I's new favorite TV show.  If you haven't seen it add it to your list.  I'm scared its going to be cancelled so everyone watch it! ( I know that is a rousing advertisement right:) 

Fall Fun

Our whole yard was covered in fall leaves this weekend.   For picture and play fun, we raked some up and started to play.  We decided to do this when the sun was very high in the sky which makes for difficult pictures.  I also fell down the stairs on Halloween, while holding my camera and it is acting a little funny.  I'm going to ignore that problem for now and just hope it magically fixes itself!  Here are my favorites.

Batman

 Grandma and Gegaw came for a visit.  Carter didn't want to share his blanket with Gegaw.

 Niles and I went out to one of our favorite restaurants  Kelly Liken. They run 50% deals in the off season.  That is the only way that we can afford it:)  The last dish on the menu is the daughter of another teacher.  Kelly Liken always comes to the Eagle rodeo and buys 4H beef and then puts the kids name on the menu.  Super cool!

 Sadly right after this fancy beet, I got a migraine.  I spent the rest of the meal quite miserable and Niles  tasted a lot of different food.

 In an effort to stop the thumb sucking we don't let Carter have anything soft except when he sleeps.  He kept taking the bat hat and snuggling it.
