Toy Frustration

Carter really wants this toy to come off.

First Thursday concert in the park of the summer season was today.  Lucky for us it was a bluegrass band.  Little chilly out because of a storm that rolled through.  Sadie and I thought our whole house was going to be blown away and damaged by hail.  Our yard looked liked it had snowed we had so much hail.  Guess Granny wasn't watching the weather channel today, or I might have had some warning:)

7 Years!

12 years ago this month Niles and I met as Jr.'s in high school...
7 Years ago we got married.  We have had our ups and downs, we've added to our family of four (Lily and Sadie of course), and moved across a couple of states.  We have built a life that I can't wait to keep on living!  Here is a few pics from our 12 years:

First picture ever...ORU house and the black jeep! (Terrible quality I know, couldn't find the original?)

My favorite OSU pic-OU Vs OSU at GIA our freshmen year

Wedding...some fav memories ( I had a little fun with my new photo editing on these pics)

The handsome groom...my bridesmaids went and took this pic so I could peek before I walked down the isle...cheating, but whose surprised, I wait for nothing if I can help it!

My sister gave the best speech ever, already nervous about having to follow in her footsteps

Favorite pic of us

I had never seen my grandparents dance.  First time ever for the Hinsons, so glad it was at my wedding!
Hands down best cake, why didn't we freeze to eat on our 7 year anniversary?
Poor Johnny got stuck leading the world's longest conga line...and by long I mean in minutes
They look so much alike in profile
Best rehearsal dinner, didn't realize when we requested a back yard dinner how much work it would be for the Clee/Thomasons, but it was worth it to us (who did absolutely none of the work!)
Pi Phi song!  I waited and waited to be able to be the center of this
A young Colby and Cale!

My parents and bridesmaids closed down the dance floor

Colorado Bound!  Four years of life in a small mountain town

Year 8 here we go!

4 months Old!

He is actually almost 4 1/2 months, but whatever.  This time last year we were just finding out that we were pregnant!  Crazy.  Stats from a couple of weeks ago:  13.6 lbs (25th percentile) and 25 1/4 in long (75th percentile).  Tall and skinny, basketball is definitely in his future.

4 1/2 months! In honor of the month of basketball camps, he is sporting his basketball gear (Thanks Hessers)  No those shoes don't really fit, but they make the outfit...

 Other pics:

Sleeping like his mommy, hands up and one leg up

Showing our flexibility, that foot was just in his mouth
Trying to sit up, but this is how it usually goes
He may never learn to sit up or crawl, he prefers to stand at all times

Happy 1st Father's Day Niles!  We had a great relaxing weekend with lots of his favorite foods.  Thanks for being such a great dad for the last 4 months!

Lately!

First week of summer is almost over.  Sadly in the back of my head I am counting down.  Little nervous about my new job as a master teacher.

Gangi and Pop pop were here for a fantastic week! Made my life simpler not having to worry about getting him to daycare, not to mention not having to cook!  We went to the TEVA mountain games, end of school BBQ, and just hung out.   Thanks for the help!

Niles and I went to a concert at State Bridge last Sunday.  Thank you Christine for baby sitting into the wee hours!  We saw Leftover Salmon.   State Bridge was an awesome little venue.  It burned down the month we moved to CO and just reopened.  It was awesome to be able to enjoy one of our favorite bands right in our backyard!

of course here are some pics...

New Favorite toy, Thanks Huggins for the donation!

Especially this part

Drooling like crazy, but no teeth
This is him dealing with tummy time, just suck the thumb
Jasmine is loving the outdoors, the first pic is when the fire was happening in AZ the second is on a normal day

The dogs were a little chilly with their summer hair cuts.  Sadie decided to lay on her bed which she never does and Lily decided Carter's toy was the place to keep warm!
Carter LOVES Lily.  Started grabbing at her and Lily doesn't even flinch

He is four months old now.  Those pics are coming soon, but we are having technical difficulties (aka Jasmine peed on the chair again and it is currently drying in the hot sun after soaking in a tub of bleach)

Rolling Over Dos

We are rolling over from back to tummy.  It is work, but we can do it!

I think this one is funny, because he used to love to sit in this chair and look around.  Now he wants to stand all the time, or at least be sitting up.  None of this laying around business.  Have fun watching his struggle!

Photo Shoot

When we were in Lawrence we had his picture taken.  I created the collage above with some of my favs.  Below are more great shots!

Giggle, Giggle

I have been trying to get video of him laughing.  He hasn't been very cooperative yet.  This is one I got with my mom.  He gave us a few laughs.

5 days left of work!
