Snowmageddon

It snowed and snowed and snowed.  I keep hearing reports from 26' to 35', either way, its a lot.  We played and shoveled today.  Its actually kind hard to play in that much snow, because you can't walk.

 See our fence back there

Path I dug to the wood pile
 Eating snow
 New Garage doors
 Sadie Sue loves the snow
 Nettie dove right in

It is still snowing...I can't watch TV bc the satellite can't get a signal:(  I got all the snow I could off of it, but I'm going to have to get a taller ladder tomorrow.  Let's pray that my roof doesn't cave in.  Everyone is telling me I don't need to worry about it, but I am.  Its a lot of snow up there.

A message from God

We were predicted to get a lot of snow from Wed night through Friday.  I told everyone at work that I was going to pray really hard for a snow day and I didn't think he would deny me right now.  Woke up Wed morning...no snow day:(  Go to work as it is dumping and dumping snow.  Twelve O'clock and the district puts out an alert saying all after school activities were canceled and school the following day!  This is unheard of.  School being cancelled at all and at noon the day before!  I interpreted the message from God as don't give me ultimatums...but you learned your lesson so here you go.  My second snow day in Eagle County.  It is almost eleven here.  These pics were taken about 5 hours ago and we have prob had another 4-6 inches and it is still dumping!  One of my favorite things is to watch it snow and snow, especially when I am at home...or on the mountain!

Normal

This week is going to be called an attempt at an ounce of normal.  I go back to work on Tuesday.  My mom left today.  Pieces of normal.  I definitely need to blog about something, because that is a big piece of normal for me.  I am going to start with easy stuff.

More Advent-Making chex mix for his class.  He ate a lot of it as it was being made

Green Day at school.  Niles always went all out when it was color days.  If we had green pants, he would have had them on.  I think that was an Edison trait.  They always went way out for their Spirit weeks and stuff.  Carter looks so big here.
Packing our bags for Illinios, this was what he wanted to take

 Christmas Crafting, another advent activity

On our way and as cute as can be

When we got to Illinois we had a game the next day

Santa was there with the Salukis (he is pointing bc real Salukis were over there)

 Basketball Christmas Party

The news was there and got film of Carter and Papa
It ran Christmas Day.  We never saw it, but I'm sure it was cute.

This is what he did when I told him he couldn't have more pie, devastating stuff (notice my dad laughing in the background)

TV Star
Carter made an appearance on my dad's TV show.  Not an ounce of shy in this kid.

Dec 23 Cayle came to visit!  (and his mommy, daddy, and Lindy)
On our way to see Santa
I already packed away the Santa pic:(

Chillin by the pond
Game Time- Fun shirts inspired by dad's rant

Niles was suppose to make it for the game, but because of his delayed flight he didn't make it in time.
