Things I've learned about Pre-school

1.  Look at the sign in sheet so I know when to bring Carter so he isn't the first one there or the last one picked up!
2.  Don't drive up rocking out to Vanilla Ice or Baby got Back bc other parents look at you weird.  They prob won't come to Carter's future birthday parties.  Sorry future Carter!
3.  When wear orange day is on a Thursday that is just weird and my brain doesn't compute.  Fridays are when you wear orange people!
4.  Walking through the play ground with Carter and he taking you by the hand into the sand box and pointing to a wet spot and saying I went potty right there mommy, is a very proud moment for any parent:)

It is actually going pretty good.  He has had 3 potty accidents, but two of those were when he was in the bathroom going potty and it just didn't go into the potty.  She said he has been great for the big boys, bc he will go all by himself and they won't.  He has been hitting and pushing.  Don't really know what to do about that yet.  He will figure it out eventually!

Here is his pic from his first day

All Quiet of the Western Front

My computer crashed.  It was devastating.  I backed up in June when school got out and  I had just uploaded all of our vacation pics to costco for printing.   I had just the day before transferred videos of Carter swimming in CA and at my parents, so that and a few documents from my first days back at work was all I lost.  I have a replacement computer, but I don't want to download any pictures onto it.  I will post pics from my phone soon, but blogging will be pretty much done until I get my computer back.

A blogging vacation for Tiffany!  Here are a few highlinghts from our last couple of weeks.

*Carter started pre-school!  I may have slightly hyperventilated driving away from him.  Transitions are difficult...for me:)  He did fine.  He pushed a kid.  The kid had it coming....the daycare lady really did say that.  He came home today covered in dirt, paint, and a really bad mood.  Maybe has something to do with the fact that he has been sleeping until 9/9:30 and we suddenly had to start getting up at 6:45.  He will adjust...soon please!

*Tiffany started 8th grade! I am teaching a new grade this year along with one section of 7th.  It makes me hyperventilate too.  8th graders are big, with not much sweetness left.  On the flip side they are veterans and I don't have to spend an hour on how to open a lock for their locker!  I also have to learn what a gerund is.  It is something about ing.  If you would like to enlighten me I have about 2 weeks to figure it out:)

*Niles has been working.  I told him that wasn't a very exciting update, so he added he has gone to the brewery a few times.  He missed Yonder at Redrocks for the first time since we've lived here.  He acted like he didn't want to go, but he really did.  He might go to a local festival this weekend.  That would add a little excitement to my next Niles update:)

Last Stop, Illinois!

After 14 hours of driving and stops in Tulsa and Springfield, we made it to Illinois!  My Dad was off the road recruiting for a few days and Aunt Ashley drove up for a day!  It was great to just relax by the pool and enjoy my fam.

Carter loved the pool

This is my dad cutting my steak.  Yes I am 32 and he will still cut my steak.  Niles makes mucho fun of me.

Who knew we didn't need to go all the way to California:)

My dad trying to teach Carter to dive and he looks more like Buzz in Toy Story 3 dancing the tango.

 Happy Birthday Ashely!

Missouri

Second to last stop was Missouri to see my Granny and Grandpa.  We stopped on our way to Illinois to break up the trip.  To short, but it was great to see my grandparents.

Helping Grandpa get veggies from the garden

 Checking out all the veggies
Stopping to smell the roses...or whatever flowers those are
Checking out Granny's backyard mailbox.  Her garden fairies send her letters I guess?  :)
 Aren't they cute?
 Granny and her two babies
Carter had a lot of fun with Stormy

Doesn't everyone stroll down the street in undies?
