Warning!

The next few blogs are not for the faint of heart!  I realized I may have a problem with the picture taking.  There is a lot of them and most of them are just different people meeting Carter, but all of our friends and family are important and need to blogged about!  Niles says I just need to go back to work.  Three more weeks and no way will I be able to keep up with this many blog posts!

Carter went back to the doctor and weighed 11 big pounds.  We get to relax on the feeding a little and try to get him to go to 10 hours at night.  Very exciting.  She also said he has the neck control of a 4 month old!  It is purely because he has that silent reflux (not much anymore) and we put him on his stomach every which way to get him to burp.  Because of his excellent neck control she gave us the go to use the jogging stroller which I will definitely start taking advantage of... if it will ever stop snowing!

Niles's Birthday is next week.  We are getting a baby sitter and going to eat at some off season special in Vail.  Hopefully Kelly Liken, but it is not my birthday!

Just a few pics that have nothing to do with our trip.

Have to read lots while he will sit still!
Really starting to grab onto toys.  Loves those links.  Niles somehow knew that Carter would love those before he was even born.
He is starting to put everything into his mouth.  Favorites are his fist.  In Tulsa he got his arm in there and gave himself a hickey.  It looks like a bruise, and of course everyone notices it.  Just a good ole' hickey!
This is the very first baby item we bought.  Sadly it just now fits and it is a little to warm to wear it, but doesn't he look cute in it.
I also realized how terrible my grammar is.  I'm being a bad LA teacher, but just like everyone else I have to focus on it.  I am usually in a rush, which is always my students excuse so shhhh.  I will try to improve...with the next post!

Rain Jackets and KU hoodies...Carter's 1st Easter

We flew out of Tulsa at 9:45 am.  To be able to attend  Easter Service we had to go to the sunrise service at 6:30 am.  The weather was rainy with thunder and lightening.  The weather made it difficult to focus on the service, but the duck who wandered up behind the preacher quacking during the service made it especially hard to concentrate.  I really wanted to take a pic, but didn't want to offend the preacher.

When we landed in Eagle we went to the Nelson's for Easter Lunch.  The kids did not really want their picture taken, we tried our best.

Round #3: Tulsa

Lots of people dying to meet Carter in T-town.  Grandma Clee and Grandpa Thomason were especially excited to see the boy!
The first night we were in Tulsa, the whole Thomason clan came over for dinner, and I mean the whole Thomason clan.  First time everyone has been together in a long time.

GG and Carter had long conversations about fixing the world's problems.

Cousins meeting for the first time!  Owen was very busy, but had to stop and check out Carter.

Grace was able to get fussy Carter to sleep, I think she is ready!
Casey and I have been friends since Elementary school.  Very fun to have been pregnant and have babies at the same time.  Mav enjoyed fishing while Jagger and Carter watched.

Lauren brought Kinlee over.  Amazing to see the difference in 2 month old and  9 month old babies.

Ben brought Johnny over.  He fished as well and gave Carter a tickle on his feet.  Niles played disc golf with Ben at McClure park.  Won't be doing that for a couple more weeks in Eagle.
We had a great visit with family and friends.  Can't wait for Carter to grow with all the other babies.

Trip Round #2: Konawa

Carter did fantastic on his first road trip.  It took 6 hours to get from Lawrence to Konawa.  It was a short one nighter, but we got to meet everyone and of course a trip to Polos.

                                                     Grandma Branscum claimed him first

Heather joined us, no one can turn down Polos and babies
Colby telling Carter all about baseball
Cale desperately wanting to touch Carter, but he was not a clean boy!
                                                               Paula Bye-Oing Carter
He can't wait to see everyone at the lake!

Trip to Kansas

Carter and I flew into Kansas City to meet my mom and Ashley.  Great Granny and Grandpa showed up that evening.  We had a great time just hanging out with the fam.

Aunt Ashley played dress-up like he was a girl!  Sorry Carter...but at least you are fashionable

Granny and Grandpa loved meeting their first great-grandbaby

Grandma and Grandpa Hinson were also very excited to see Carter.  Grandma just wanted to hold and kiss all over him, and of course he hates both!  He let her get a few in.

Honey was not so sure about Carter, but by the end she warmed up to him.

We visited Grandpa at his office.  We took some pics with those oh so special National Championship trophies in Coach Self's office.  Just a little preparation for his future as a basketball star! (or whatever you want to do Carter, but Mommy really dislikes all other sports)

We had a lot of fun on the first round of our trip!

Say Cheese!

Carter has definitely met the smiling milestone...

I think he may be a little tired of the camera...
