Carter and I had to walk about a mile from where we parked to camp. Carter had to ride with the bag.
We had a park near camp. This was our second visit. The first was at 6 am when Carter decided to be not so quiet in the tent. I took him in his pjs and a hoodie thinking we wouldn't run into anyone. Of course we did. Who takes their kid to the park at 6 am!
Carter is really funny around a massive group of people. He has no fear of anyone. He would walk up to random people and say bite if they were eating, walk right through peoples' campsites, and never of course wanted to sit still. Here we are out for a walk with our puppy. This pic was taken by Planet Bluegrass's photog. He looks dirty. Prob bc he loved that dirt road. He liked to lay in in and then brush himself off.
The US Pro bike race went through Lyons while we were there. We waited a long time for seconds of bikers. Carter passed out.
and so did Niles
The crowd was weird mix of hippies and bike fans. These people were chalking the road.
The part through town was a sprint.
This dude was in the lead. I have no idea who any of them are. I did not spot a yellow jersey. Evans dropped out and some other guy. People were upset, so maybe he was in the yellow. I am making the pic super big for Johnny so he can see the bikers:)
There were more of these and cars than actual bicycles.
Great trip!
