Jelly Beans and Bunny Cookies

We started Easter weekend with Grandma!  She arrived on Wednesday to spend the rest of the week with Carter...and us.  Of course Carter woke up Tuesday with a fever and diarrhea.  I swear he isn't sick all the time.  It is like he hears people are coming to visit and he thinks "Mommy has no more sick days so I should get sick now!"

They made bunny cookies, which along with Jelly Beans he asks for immediately when he wakes up in the morning and at every meal.

Saturday we had an egg decorating party at our house.  I may have been a little overzealous with buying egg dye.  Lots of normal dye will be my plan for next year.

Egg dying was a little difficult for this 2 year old's patience.  Notice how all those cups have eggs sticking out of the top, that would be because there are eggs below them as well.

This is Carter not understanding patience

It turned out a very pretty blue:)
Check out my cool rubber cement eggs.

Sunday morning.  We started the Payton Family tradition of hiding the Easter basket and having to search for it.    Carter looking (he had already found his basket earlier in the week in our room and kept coming out with Jelly beans)
 He found it!

Next we went to church.  Trying to get a two year old to whisper is impossible.  He went on stage for Children's sermon.  We haven't let him do that before.  He was so cute becasue he followed all of hte kids and sat right down on the steps...then he tried to climb on stage and pull the Easter banner down.  To the nursery he went.

He was not into taking pictures...at all!  Mommy may have been a little frustrated.

We got a pretty good family picture, thank you Natalie.

This is Carter refusing to get his picture taken

Trying to open and eat everything in every egg as quick as possible, see the full mouth

Not very happy that he spilled all of his beans on the ground...we have had a lot of fits lately.  Welcome to our house terrible twos:)  Note Niles laughing.

He kept going, more jellybeans were a necessity
