Holiday Travels: Round Three

We left for our last destination right after Christmas Eve at Grandpas.  We arrived in Lawrence at midnight.  Carter feel right to sleep, so it was an easy trip.  Also went a lot faster on the two lane road, because there was no traffic (and Niles was driving and isn't afraid to pass slow people).  My family cracked me up when we walked in, because the first question asked was "Does he have to go to sleep?"

Santa was good to Carter this year.  He didn't think about the space we have in our living room:)

My grandpa took a radio-flyer wagon that had been given to him when my dad and uncle were  kids, but they were to big for a wagon.  They saved it for their grandchildren.  Myself, Ashley, Robbie, Drew, and a few critters used this wagon a lot.  Because my grandparents keep everything (really they keep Everything!) they still had the wagon.  It needed a lot of work, but my grandpa with the help of my granny and a few friends, fixed up the wagon for Carter.  I was so shocked to see it and can't wait to pull Carter and pals around in it.

Here I am in the wagon

and now Carter
Grandpa replaced the bottom of the wagon with wood.  The original was all rusted out.
They even ordered a CO license plate with his name

Thank you Granny and Grandpa for all the hard work.  Would have been easier and less stressful to buy a new one, but not nearly as special:)

Not quite old enough for this yet, but still fun with some help

This was from my parents.  Again, not quite old enough so he needed some help.  He couldn't press the gas with his foot yet, so we did it for him.  We look quite idiotic, but Carter found it fun!

Carter likes glasses
 All dressed up for Church

 The whole fam!
 More presents!
 Even Honey is Christmasfied!

Carter likes to french kiss people, future trouble

We headed back to CO at 4 am on the 26th.  The child who can't drive from daycare to the house without screaming in his carseat, did fantastic on the 10 hour drive.  Now back to reality at home!
