Rockies Weekend!

We headed to Denver yesterday to watch the Rockies play the Reds.  We had a great day!  Dad had some Marriott points, so we were able to stay downtown for FREE!  It was especially nice because we walked to Coors field and to the 16 Street mall for dinner. Thanks Dad!

We bought the tickets back in June when Carter would still fall asleep in public.  Doesn't happen now, so I was a little nervous as to how this was going to go, but he did awesome!  We showed up at the top of the 2nd.  Had fantastic seats thanks to Wells Fargo.  They have a special deal where you can buy one club seat, get one free.  I didn't realize that Club seats meant indoor amenities and covered outdoor seating.  You had to show your ticket to get into the section.  The bathroom even had a fancy changing table that came in very useful.  We had tickets for the fourth row, but we chose to sit in the very last row, because it was completely shaded.  We picked well.  By the end of the game the sun had reached every row in our section, except the one we were sitting in.  It ended up being a great game.  Carter made it through the 9th, which shocked both of us, and we were able to see the Rockies win!

He slept through the 4th inning, that never happens anymore

He cheered on the Rockies well, sports fan in the making...

After dinner we asked around for an ice cream place and was told there was a pinkberry.  If you have been watching Curb your Enthusiasm this season then you know why we chose to try it.  It was very good, and would have been a healthier option if I hadn't added oreos;)

Carter enjoyed the nice hotel bed.

This is how he sleeps now, butt in the air

This was suppose to be our last weekend of craziness, but it continues.  Next weekend Niles is going to the CVMA conference at Keystone.  One of my favorite bands is playing in Glenwood on Friday, so we are trying to work out going to that.  Strange how a year ago we just would have gone, now we have to find a sitter and plan around a certain baby's schedule.  I won't be shocked if we end up going to Lyons on Sat night.  Niles says we aren't going, but there is a small concert we always go to. It is very family friendly and you camp for the night.  That is a lot of stuff for Niles to do in one weekend, but hey the next one will slow down...maybe!
