The Nursery

There was one significant room missing in the house pictures...the nursery.  The nursery was more work than than any other room, so it deserves its own post!  I had planned to show each step of the process, but somehow those pics have disappeared.
I decided it would be a great idea to paint stripes on the wall to match the bedding for the crib.  Niles agreed, but was pessimistic on how easy it would be.  I asked around to get advice and everyone said the same thing, "Don't do it."  This of course motivated me even more to paint those stripes!  So the process began one Friday night.  We borrowed a laser level, Niles taped off the lines and I started painting!  We had issue after issue with bleeding paint, tape not sticking to the wall in the middle of painting it, etc.  We ended up following the blessed advice from Niles' sage boss and put caulking along the tape to prevent it from bleeding and falling.  Glory glory it worked and saved Tiffany a lot of grueling touch up with the tiniest of artist brushes.  Niles ended up with blisters along his fingers from mashing tape, but it still saved hours of work.  Wish we had followed that advice from the beginning.  Needless to say it took a week to complete and looks fantastic!  Will we ever paint stripes again...absolutely not.
We have green curtains in the process of being hemmed, but still in need of inspiration for wall art.  We have one fantastic pic given by Casey, but still working on the rest.
Working  on his book collection...

He already owns more clothes than his Aunt Ashley...
Sadie and Lilly were very helpful in setting up the crib and changing table...
Jasmine discovered the crib quickly...
and then the bassinet!

Don't worry we don't let her near either one, but I had to take her picture before I kicked her out!
