Getting Christmasy

We spent Sunday decorating the house for Christmas!  My favorite time of year!

 He placed most of them in the same spot.  I was going to leave them, but they were making a big hole in the tree so I moved them.

 This ornament is a hat, he can't quite understand why it won't go on.

He decorated his own nativity scene.  Apparently he wanted everyone to put their back on Jesus except for the sheep.  Make sense, sheep are one of his favorite animals:)

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving today.  I have been thinking about it a lot, because I've come to the realization that we will prob never be able to go home for Thanksgiving.  I really want Thanksgiving to be special with the three of us.  Very different from Niles and I's Thanksgivings growing up.  We were both surrounded by lots of family.  We Skyped with my extended family today and couldn't even hear, bc there were so many people! 
So here was our fantastic day!

Parents of the Year

Niles and I should get the parents of the year award today.
1st we went to our local Brewery to celebrate their 2nd year anniversary.  Carter pulled a chair up to the bar and enjoyed his milk and popcorn.

They even let him help draw a raffle prize!

Next, we went home and ate dinner while we watched TV.   SIU was playing.



Last, he enjoyed his first hostess donut.  I figured every kid needed to eat a hostess donut sometime in life.  That time was today since there will no longer be hostess anything!  If the store had Twinkies left I would have bought those.

Snow!

We woke up both Sat and Sun covered in snow.  We definitely had to go play in that nice powder!  A lot of pictures, shocking I know...
