Holiday Travels:Round One

Holiday Break is here!  Carter and I have been enjoying the time off since Friday, Niles has his last day of work tomorrow!  We had to fly out of Denver, so we hitched a ride with the Brummers and stayed the night with the twins (Jodi and Chris were there too:)

We arrived in Kansas to the whole B clan.

Jamie is full on baby entertainment, Carter immediately got excited when he walked into the room
Honey really liked all the family...except Carter, very scared of Carter

They got him a really cute puppy that you plug into the computer and it says his names and favorites, really cool

Everything in the mouth, when does that stop!

I attempted to take some pictures that I saw on Pinterest.  Couldn't qute get it. I used my moms really good Nikon, but couldn't figure out the lighting.  The flash was way to much, no flash way to dark.  I played with the exposure and contrast on the no flash ones.

Dug out a few of Ashley and I's toys to play with

 Checked out Santa
Went to his first basketball game!  We didn't make it until  half time, because Ashley had car trouble on her way back to Springfield. We helped her out and were running a tad late.

The game was at the Sprint Center in KC

Sadly no rock chalk for Carter's first game. Maybe he will get to see a win at his second game which will be on Thursday to watch ORU play Texas Tech!  Let's go Golden Eagles!  Can't wait to head to Tulsa, pray for safe travels for Niles tomorrow night (Tuesday). Kansas is expecting a dumping of snow, boo!

Santa Claus came to town...on a snowmobile

We went to the Minturn Winter Market today.  They have a really great Farmer's Market in the summer and once in the winter.  For the winter one, Santa is set up and they have a concert.  This years band was one of our favorites, Elephant Revival.  We carpooled with the Letos and had a great day.

Getting in his long johns for a day in the cold!

All bundled up and not very happy about it.

Great December Weekend!

We had a great weekend with lots of Holiday activities.  That is why I love December. So many unique activities.  We had a very busy Saturday.  Niles enjoyed his first day at the Beav.  It has snowed all weekend, so he picked a good time to go.  We had the Castle Peak Christmas Party at the Bowling Alley.  We then headed down to Lights on Broadway.  It is our little main street.  They light it up and have a parade.  Santa is there, but we missed him.

Little Maizy Jingle Bell marching in her first parade!
So we aren't the Macy's Day parade by a long shot, yes those are Alpacas

Sunday we woke up and tried to get a good shot for our Christmas Card.  Thought taking advantage of all the snow would be a good idea.  A little bright so they all looked like this.
We switched directions, and still all squinty
Tried with our coats to keep trying, and still no good. No we are not expecting again, Niles is just holding Carter weird and sticking his belly out.  Yes I just called my husband pregnant:)
Later we went to the pottery place to make an ornament with Carter's hand print.  He rocked at it.
Then I painted it with his name and birthday
Great weekend with my boys.  Two more weeks and we will be heading South!
